Indian kathak dancer, aerial acrobat
I studied acting in the theater department of the National School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2003 till now, I practice Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In 2007 I traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I studied in the circus schools: La Arena, Club de Trapezistas and Circo Criollo, where I specialized in aerial acrobatics and extreme flexibility floor exercises. Since 2006 I work as a professional acrobat . Since 2010 I began the practice of classical northern-Indian dance Kathak, in Varanasi, North India, under the guidance of the eminent dancer and musician Pandit Ravi Shankar Mishra. In 2014 I received my diploma in Kathak from the University of Allahabad. At the same time,I deepen in the expression and storytelling techniques of classical Indian dance, through the apprenticeship near the virtuose of the south indian dance, Bharatanatyam, Sri Balagopal in Chennai, South India.
Participated as acrobat and actor in theater performances of Municipal theater of Crete (2008), where I was assistant set designer and in the State Theater of Northern Greece (2009). I have given workshops and performances of classical Indian dance in Greece, Argentina and Bulgaria with the group ShriSaraswati, the first in Greece that presents Indian dance with live accompaniment of classical Indian music.
